NY Times taps Desai as senior social editor, standalone

Reyna Desai

The New York Times has named Reyna Desai as senior social editor for standalone subscription products, where she will lead efforts to support Cooking, Games, Wirecutter and more off-platform content. Recently, she was senior staff editor of social strategy.

Desai also served as staff editor for Culture, Op-Ed staff editor, copy editor/web producer and community moderator. She was a Dow Jones editing intern at the Times in 2010 and a research editor at Imagination Publishing in Illinois.

Desai also held posts as a copy editor at the Chicago Tribune and Minneapolis Star Tribune.
