After spending two years working as staff editor on the news desk, Priya Arora will be moving out West to join the New York Times Los Angeles bureau as a social editor.
Previously, Arora has worked as front-page editor at both HuffPost and Yahoo Inc. Arora also worked as web editor at Floor Covering Weekly and served as assistant editor and humanities editor at Brown Girl Magazine, LLC.
Arora has also worked at Asia TV U.S.A. as an editorial assistant for India.com North America and served as a freelance writer and content editor at the company.
Arora has also held the posts of web content specialist and education intern at Teachers College, Columbia University and The Trevor Project, respectively.
Arora is a B.A. in sociology from UC Irvine and an M.A. in human development and social intervention from New York University. Arora holds another Master’s degree in counseling psychology from Teachers College of Columbia University.
