The New York Times has promoted Sameen Amin to the post of supervising producer, News Video.
In her new role, Amin will focus on helping lead the Video department’s further expansion into live journalism while overseeing high-impact video journalism across the Video team.
Previously, she held the post of senior coordinating producer at The Times. Prior to joining The Times, Amin was a senior producer at Fusion Media Network. She has also worked as a filed producer at Al Jazeera America.
Additionally, she has also held the posts of deputy program editor (line producer), producer and senior producer at the Al Jazeera Media Network. She has also served as an associate producer and then as a rundown producer at CBC.
Amin is a B.A. in journalism from Ryerson University.
