Nathan Willis, Washington night editor at The New York Times, has been tapped to serve as an assistant editor.
Willis has been with the Times for eight years, previously holding the posts of staff editor, senior staff editor, deputy Washington weekend editor and Washington weekend editor.
Prior to joining the Times, he served as premium services editor at The Motley Fool. Before that, he was at The Washington Post, where he worked for eight years.
There, he held the posts of metro copy editor, deputy metro copy chief for The Extras, interim deputy editor for Local Living and multiplatform editor.
He was also a copy editor at The Dallas Morning News.
Willis has a B.S. in journalism from the University of Kansas.
