Mark Walker, The New York Times FOIA coordinator in the bureau, has been promoted to the post of correspondent in Washington, working with the bureau’s investigative team on a wide range of topics.
Walker was also part of a team at The Times that won a Pulitzer Prize in 2021 for public service for reporting on the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to joining The Times, Walker was an investigative reporter at The Argus Leader in South Dakota.
He is also a former training director for Investigative Reporters and Editors.
