The New York Times has tapped Heather Phillips as senior deputy director, special projects. As per the Times:
“She will continue to work across the organization, effectively becoming the main liaison for departments within our newsroom as well as other business units, and will contribute to the standalone products work that the team is helping to support.
“She will also continue to help manage the team and contribute to the creative conception of projects. In addition, Heather will help tackle priorities for the team itself, including diversity, equity and inclusion goals, and preserving a collaborative culture during our transition to hybrid work.”
Previously, Phillips worked at Aol, Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal.
