The New York Times has appointed Shane Goldmacher to national political correspondent.
Goldmacher joined the Times in 2017 as chief Metro political correspondent and recently held the post of national political reporter. He has also worked as a national political correspondent and chief White House correspondent at Politico.
Goldmacher was also a senior political correspondent and congressional correspondent at the National Journal, as well as a political reporter at the Los Angeles Times.
