NY Times Opinion taps Leibowitz as copy editor

Lauren Leibowitz

Lauren Leibowitz has joined The New York Times Opinion copy desk full-time as an editor, after freelance an Opinion copyeditor. She covered editing stints on the Culture, Books and Live desks.

In her new role, she will focus on newsletters.

She has held editorial roles at Public Religion Research Institute, The Cut, BuzzFeed News, Meta and various book publishers. She formerly worked at The New Yorker as a copy editor and senior web producer.

Leibowitz graduated from New York University.
