The New York Times has appointed Seth Kugel a columnist for “Tripped Up,” an advice column helping readers steer through the intriguing world of travel.
Kugel is a frequent contributor to the paper and has written for Travel since 2004. He was also the Times’ Frugal Traveler columnist for more than five years. Additionally, he also teaches journalism at New York University and hosts a Portuguese-language YouTube channel, “Amigo Gringo,” popular with Brazilian travelers.
A graduate of Yale University, Kugel also holds a masters in public policy from Harvard University.
