NY Times names Gold campaign correspondent

Michael Gold

Michael Gold, a metro reporter at The New York Times, has joined the politics desk as a campaign correspondent. In his new role, he will report on candidates on the trail in the 2024 presidential race, and break political news.

Gold has been with the Times for more than eight years, joining in June 2015 as a social media strategy editor. Before that, he was a social media producer at The Washington Post.

His resume includes stints at The Baltimore Sun, and the Philadelphia City Paper, where he was an intern and contributor.

He was also an online content and tablet producer at Philly.com.

Gold graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.

Be sure to congratulate Gold on X/Twitter.
