The New York Times has tapped Quoctrung Bui as deputy graphics editor. In his new role, Bui will create and edit original visual Opinion pieces and collaborate with guest essayists, newsletter writers and columnists.
Recently, he served as graphics editor, The Upshot, at the Times. Prior to this, he covered economics and general assignment topics at NPR.
Bui has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
