Jessica Martinez has joined The New York Times’ Home team. Previously, she interned at the Times from June to August 2017 via the Dow Jones News Fund.
Martinez most recently served as digital editor at the Los Angeles Times, where she worked for more than five years. In this role, she managed the homepage and oversaw the curation and digital display of content across various sections.
She joined in November 2017 as the L.A. Times’ community news digital editor.
She also held the posts of deputy social media editor and social media editor at Washington Square News.
Martinez has a B.A. from New York University and an M.A. from UCLA.
