NY Times hires Gewirtz as design editor

Lauren Gewirtz

Lauren Gewirtz has joined The New York Times full-time as a design editor. For the past two-plus years, Gewirtz had been working part-time.

Previously, she interned at CBS News and was an editorial and advertising designer at The State News. She also interned at SB Nation and Hour Media in Michigan, and served as a production runner at Fox Sports.

Gewirtz has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University.
