Simbarashe Cha has joined The New York Times as a staff photographer and visual columnist focused on style and fashion coverage.
Since 2020, Cha has been a contributor to the newsroom when he began as a Metro photographer. He has worked for the Times from London, New York, Paris, Milan and Dakar.
He was also editorial photographer for various outlets, including Harper’s Bazaar, Architectural Digest and The Atlantic. He also worked as a commercial photographer for clients including Ralph Lauren.
Prior to taking on a career in photography, Cha worked for nearly a decade in banking.
