New York Times columnist Frank Bruni will be departing in late June to take the post of endowed chair in journalism at Duke University.
Bruni joined The Times from The Detroit Free Press where he was a Pulitzer finalist in feature writing. He also covered Washington and the White House before becoming Rome bureau chief.
He then returned to New York and in 2011 became an Opinion columnist at The Times.
Bruni will continue his newsletter and write pieces for the Sunday Review as a contributing Opinion writer after he leaves in June.
