The New York Times has promoted Michael LaForgia to the post of metro investigations editor. He previously served as assistant metro investigations editor, and before that, as an investigative reporter.
He was also an investigative reporter and investigations editor at The Tampa Bay Times. He has also reported for The Palm Beach Post.
LaForgia is a University of South Carolina graduate.
