Hannah Beech, who was Southeast Asia bureau chief since 2017 at The New York Times will be taking on a broader role for enterprise and investigations across Asia as a senior correspondent.
She will be working with reporters around the continent, giving greater reach in an important, complicated and ever-changing region.
Beech has also worked for Time magazine having joined in 1997 as a reporter in Hong Kong. Over the next 20 years, she served as the magazine’s bureau chief in Beijing, Shanghai and Bangkok.
Beech is a graduate of Colby College.
