NPR has appointed Terence Samuel as acting VP and executive editor. He recently served as managing editor for news and, before that, as deputy managing editor.
He also taught at Princeton University.
Samuel has also served as a deputy national political editor at The Washington Post and as a deputy editor at TheRoot.com. He was also chief congressional correspondent at U.S. News & World Report.
Samuel has also worked as a Washington correspondent at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and as a staff writer/national correspondent at The Philadelphia Inquirer.
He was also a staff writer at Roanoke Times.
Samuel has a B.A. in English/journalism from The City College of New York.
