NPR promotes Thomas-Fulton to post of vice president, content operations

Sharahn Thomas-Fulton has been promoted to the post of vice president, content operations at NPR.

Thomas-Fulton has been with NPR for 21 years. During this time, she has held several posts at the company, including production and part-time host – The National Press Club series, assistant producer – news operations, operations manager – news operations, deputy director – news operations, director of news operations, and senior director.

Apart from NPR, Thomas-Fulton has also worked at New Jersey Network for 3 years, joining as a field producer. Later on, she held several posts at the company, including weekend television news anchor, “Xpressions” talk show host, and radio operations manager.

During her time at NPR, her team’s coverage of the 9/11 attacks won a Peabody Award.

Thomas-Fulton is a B.A. in mass media arts from Hampton University. Currently, she is also enrolled in an M.B.A. program at the University of Maryland – Robert H. Smith School of Business.
