Ashley Lopez will be joining NPR to report on voting issues and voters. She begins next month.
Currently, Lopez is a senior reporter covering politics and health care for KUT, Austin’s NPR member station. She was also part of NPR’s Political Reporting Partnership in 2016. Before that, she was a political reporter at Louisville Public Media.
Lopez was also a general assignment reporter for WGCU-FM 90.1, Southwest Florida’s NPR station and was a reporter/blogger at the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting.
She was also an intern at the North Carolina Public Radio, WUNC-FM 91.5.
Lopez graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
