Katherine Miller

Veteran newspaper executive Katherine Miller has been appointed publisher of the Norman (Oklahoma) Transcript, the newspaper announced.

Miller was the group publisher of three Alabama newspapers owned by The Transcript’s parent company, CNHI, LLC.

“Really looking forward to moving to Norman and getting actively involved with the community,” said Miller. “I am fortunate to join a staff dedicated to building on the Transcript’s considerable legacy of serving the residents and businesses of Norman.”

A native of Joplin, Missouri, Miller began her newspaper career at the Joplin Globe in 2002 as an advertising representative, selling retail and classified ads into a variety of print publications and digital platforms.

She eventually became the Globe’s assistant sales manager before moving to Athens, Alabama, in 2010 as director of advertising for the News Courier. CNHI later promoted her to Alabama group sales director, then publisher of the News Courier and in 2019, Alabama group publisher for the News Courier, Cullman Times and the St. Clair News Aegis.
