AARP has promoted Dan Gilgoff as editor in chief. He has been with AARP since May 2019, serving as executive editor of digital and content.
Gilgoff held the posts of director of digital news and executive editor, digital at National Geographic. He was a religion editor at CNN.com and a senior editor at U.S. News & World Report.
He also taught journalism at Montclair State University as an adjunct professor. From May 2001 to June 2007, he was a senior writer at U.S. News & World Report.
Gilgoff has a B.A. from the George Washington University.
