Niemeyer takes on editorial role at NY Times

Victoria Niemeyer

Victoria Niemeyer has taken on the role of co-deputy editor, joining Michelle Dozois on the audience team. As per the Times:

“In addition to continuing to lead our search team, ensuring Times journalism reaches the widest audience possible, Vic will also help desk heads and newsroom leadership identify news demand  trends, themes, and growth and engagement opportunities.

“As part of this move, Mitch will take on operational duties, in addition to her work overseeing embedded audience editors on Well, Metro, Politics and more. Mitch will also continue to be the newsroom’s liaison to analysts on the newsroom analytics team.”

Niemeyer has been with the Times for more than four years, joining in July 2019.

Niemeyer has a B.S. in digital marketing from Stevenson University in Maryland.
