Tran Nguyen has joined The Associated Press as a reporter to cover legislation that focuses on housing, homelessness and law enforcement policies.
Recently, Nguyen was an investigative reporter at the San José Spotlight, where she also interned.
She worked as a senior reporter covering crime and court, student government, housing and construction for college media company the Emerald Media Group.
Nguyen has a B.A. from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she also worked as a research assistant.
