Newsweek senior editor Minto goes freelance

Rob Minto

Rob Minto, a senior editor of data projects at Newsweek, has left to go freelance. He will also work on launching “Unredacted,” U.K.’s first permanent, public national security archive.

Minto joined Newsweek in September 2021 as executive editor. He freelanced and worked as a local fund editor at The Bureau of Investigative Journalism.

He worked at the Financial Times for more than 12 years, holding various posts that included news desk and editorial development; interactive editor; technology correspondent; head of multimedia; assistant editor for emerging markets; and digital editor for emerging markets.

Minto graduated from the University of Oxford.
