Joanna Morris will be joining Newsquest as an investigations editor working across titles in the Northeast of England and Cumbria to lead and develop hard-hitting campaigns.
Morris begins her new role in March.
She comes to Newsquest from the Press Association’s RADAR (Reporters and Data and Robots) automated news service, where she was a data journalist. Previously, she has also worked as a reporter at The Northern Echo, Newsquest.
Morris said:
“It’s a dream job to be taking on the role of investigations editor across such historic and well-regarded titles. As a reporter, I’ve always been inspired by the campaigning and investigative spirit of my old paper The Northern Echo. It’s an honor to be given the opportunity to build upon that history by working with excellent reporters to tell in-depth stories about the issues that matter and make a difference to communities across the North-East and Cumbria.”
