New York’s WNBC-TV promotes Novini to weekend news anchor

WNBC-TV Ch. 4, NBC’s flagship outlet in New York, has tapped Rana Novini to serve as a weekend news anchor. Recently, she held the post of television news reporter.

An Emmy award-winning reporter, Novini has been with the New York TV station for seven years. She has covered a wide range of topics, including breaking news, politics, crime and features.

Previously, she worked as a digital content director, reporter and television news anchor at KRDO-TV Ch. 13, an ABC affiliate in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Novini graduated from American University in Washington, D.C.
