New York Times names O’Neill deputy editor for nights

Justin O’Neil

The New York Times has promoted Justin O’Neil to the post of deputy editor for nights. Recently, he was an assistant editor on the Home team.

O’Neil has been with The Times for over 7 years, previously serving as a news assistant and staff editor. Prior to joining The Times, he was an associate editor, Language Arts Classroom Magazines, at Scholastic in New York.

O’Neil has a B.A. in English from Brown University, where he worked as an intern/blogger.
