New Statesman promotes Dawood to senior associate editor

Sarah Dawood

Sarah Dawood, special projects writer at The New Statesman, has been appointed senior associate editor of “Spotlight,” the New Statesman’s policy report supplement.

In her new role, Dawood will focus on health policy.

Previously, she worked as a copy writer and content creator, and digital communications officer/channels and communities at The Department for Culture, Media & Sport in London. She also served as a reporter and deputy editor for Design Week at business consulting services Centaur Media Plc.

She reported for The Nottingham Post and The Guardian, and was a media assistant at ITV.

Dawood has a B.A. in English from the University of Nottingham and a M.A. in magazine journalism from the University of Sheffield.
