Naples Daily News has promoted Rachel Heimann Mercader to the post of government watchdog reporter. Recently, she was a breaking news reporter.
She was also a contributing writer at Her Campus at Rhodes College. She was also a news editor and staff writer at The Sou’wester, a biweekly student-run newspaper.
Mercader is a Rhodes College graduate.
