Bell Media has promoted Michael Melling to the post of vice president of news. He recently served as general manager – CTV News Toronto, CP24 and BNN Bloomberg.
Melling has been with Bell Media for over 11 years, previously serving as GM for CP24 and CTV News Toronto, GM for Radio and TV – Southwestern Ontario, GM for Radio and local TV and regional news director, regional news director for CTV Ontario, and news director for Southwestern Ontario.
He was also a reporter at CTV News and a line-up editor/writer at Report on Business Television, CTV.
Melling has a M.A. in international journalism from Cardiff University.
