NBCUniversal taps Cain to serve as national climate reporter

Chase Cain

NBCUniversal has promoted Chase Cain to national climate reporter from his recent post of climate editor for NBC LX News.

Prior to joining NBC News in September 2018, Cain was a creative video producer at Hulu. From 2013 to 2016, he reported for California NBC stations KNBC-TV Ch. 4 in Los Angeles and KNTV-TV Ch. 11 in the San Francisco Bay area.

He served as a social media anchor and special projects producer at Florida Fox outlet WOFL-TV Ch. 35. He also worked as a general assignment reporter at both WTSP-TV Ch. 10, a CBS affiliate in St. Petersburg, Fla., and at WLEX-TV Ch. 18, an NBC affiliate in Lexington, Ky., where she was also a weather anchor.

Cain has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree from the University of Miami.
