David Verdi and Catherine Kim sent out the following announcement:

All,

We’re delighted to announce that Stephanie Gosk has been promoted to Senior National Correspondent for NBC News.

For nearly two decades, Stephanie has been a trusted voice at NBC News, bringing depth, clarity, and humanity to the stories she’s covered across the New York area, the country and the globe. So many times, she has been the first out the door to cover major breaking news and has seen and reported on it all, including dangerous manhunts, hurricanes, the Olympics, the war in Iraq, the Arab Spring and the death of Osama bin Laden.

Most recently, she has tackled critical stories on childhood vaccination rates, rising homelessness among seniors, the election of Pope Leo XIV, the Bryan Kohberger trial and the controversy surrounding Musk’s xAI supercomputer facility in Tennessee.

Stephanie’s ability to bring urgency to breaking news, depth to investigative pieces, and creativity and flair to feature stories is one of her trademarks. While she will cover major breaking news from our New York bureau, this expanded role will allow her to take on more in-depth investigative pieces, report on big national news dominating headlines, and continue to round out the mix with feature reporting.

Please join us in congratulating Stephanie on this well-earned promotion.
