Marquise Francis will join NBC News as a Stay Tuned correspondent based in New York. He will begin on Jan. 8.
In his new role, Francis will report for Stay Tuned across Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and all NBC News platforms. He will also write for NBC News Digital.
He will cover election year politics and the Gen Z voter, and the issues and beats closest to home for young people, including jobs, housing, climate change, student loan debt, internet culture, criminal justice and more.
He joins from Yahoo, where he has served in the roles of social content producer, national reporter/producer, senior national reporter/producer for Yahoo News and recently national correspondent.
He has also worked at MSNBC.
Francis is an adjunct professor at Syracuse University, where he has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and digital journalism.
