Molly Walsh, an assignment editor at NBC Chicago, is leaving for a new opportunity. As assignment editor, she delegated and coordinated news coverage assignments, and helped in pitching and planning for NBC’s Making a Difference segment among other tasks.
Previously, she worked as an intern news planning assistant and as an investigative researcher.
She has also held the posts of reporter, managing editor, digital managing editor, and editor-in-chief of The Columbia Chronicle, a non-daily student paper in Illinois.
Walsh graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
