National Geographic Traveller names Parkes, Stephens commissioning editors

National Geographic Traveller has appointed Lorna Parkes and Georgia Stephens as commissioning editors.

Lorna Parkes

Parkes has freelanced for the past seven years, contributing to the Guardian, the Telegraph, the Independent, the i, Time Out, Adventure.com, Lonely Planet and Delicious. She served as acting editor at Ink – we are travel media.

Parkes has a B.A. from the University of Leeds.

Georgia Stephens

Recently, Stephens held the post of acting assistant travel editor for The Times and The Sunday Times. Previously, she was a travel writer, and before that, worked as a freelance editor for Sunday Times Travel.

She freelanced for The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, Wanderlust, DK Travel and Britain magazine.

Stephens has a B.A. from the University of Sussex.
