Sky News has appointed Darryl Murphy editor of “Politics Hub with Sophy Ridge” a newly launched show that airs weekday evenings from 7 to 8 p.m.
Previously, Murphy was a Westminster news editor/program editor at ITN for Channel 4 News, where he also held the post of politics producer. He has also worked as a deputy news editor and Westminster producer at ITV News.
He also served as assistant content editor at ITV News Central.
Murphy has a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from the University of Exeter in the U.K. and a post-graduate diploma in broadcast journalism from Birmingham City University.
