Muldowney was an investigative researcher at Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting. She freelanced for ProPublica, The Verge, The Indypendent and The Real Deal.
Muldowney has a B.A., M.Phil. and PhD. from the University of Cambridge. She also has an M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
