Muck Rack has entered a collaboration with Society of Professional Journalists, an organization dedicated to encouraging the free practice of journalism and high standards of ethical behavior, and the International Center for Journalists, a non-profit organization with a global network of more than 100,000 journalists.
Under the partnerships, the organizations plan to create programming, resources and tools to help journalists face important issues affecting the industry. SPJ and ICFJ will also use Muck Rack’s relationship management software to manage relationships with their members.
Muck Rack CEO and co-founder Greg Galant said:
“Since launching in 2009, we’ve been on a mission to provide journalists with free portfolios, tools and resources. We’re excited to expand our partnerships to better serve journalists.”
SPJ added:
“SPJ is a champion for journalists and we want to help our members increase their contacts, their exposure, and their ability to deliver exceptional journalism,” Muck Rack provides a great tool for journalists to be discovered, and we are excited to partner with them to showcase this and to collaborate on other projects that strengthen journalism.”
ICFJ commented:
“Through our partnership with Muck Rack, the journalists in our global network will benefit from new tools to showcase their work, connect with publishers, and track the reach of their stories,” said Joyce Barnathan, president of ICFJ. “This is especially important during the pandemic, when it’s so essential to get life-saving information to a broad audience.”
