MSNBC hires Pluto as a communications manager

Liza Pluto has joined MSNBC PR team as a communications manager overseeing the daily communications for “Morning Joe” and perspective weekend programming, reports Politico.

She comes from PBS where she was a senior publicity manager. Before that, she was with CNN for over five years holding various roles, including PR coordinator, publicist, senior publicist and PR manager.

She was also a marketing associate at KPMG and has also worked at the University of Arizona Office of Sustainability.

Pluto is a B.A. from the University of Arizona and holds a master’s degree from George Washington University.
