Isabela Dias, a fellow at Mother Jones has joined the staff full-time as a reporter, covering politics, immigration and culture.
Her work has appeared in Slate, The Washington Post, The Nation, Columbia Journalism Review, Texas Monthly and the Pacific Standard. She worked as a freelance fact-checker for The Texas Observer and The Fuller Project.
She was also a breaking news reporter at the Brazil daily newspaper Folha de S.Paulo.
Dias has a M.S. in journalism from Columbia University, New York.
