Recently, Mimms was a politics reporter at BuzzFeed News, which she joined in 2016 as D.C. editor.
Previously, she was U.S. politics editor at Vice News. She was a staff correspondent at the National Journal, where she covered the Senate, and at National Journal Hotline, where she wrote and edited.
She worked at the Washington Post Express.
Mimms graduated from Georgetown University.
