WTMJ-TV Ch. 4, an NBC affiliate in Milwaukee, has hired Ashely Washburn as a sports reporter. She wrote on Twitter:
“Can’t wait to start covering all things Packers, Bucks, Brewers, both the Big Ten & Big East, plus local prep sports.”
Recently, Washburn was a sports reporter and anchor at KBZK-TV Ch. 7, a CBS and CW Plus station in Bozeman, Mont.
In San Diego, Washburn worked as a freelance story producer for NBC outlet KNSD-TV Ch. 39, and held the posts of assignment editor and field producer/reporter at KUSI-TV Ch. 51.
She interned at ESPN and NBCUniversal.
Washburn has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from San Diego State University-California State University, where she was a sports writer at the student newspaper The Daily Aztec.
