Michigan nonprofit news outlet taps King to serve as senior reporter

Michigan Advance, the state’s award-winning nonprofit news outlet covering policy and politics, has hired Jon King as a senior reporter. For nearly two years, he has been freelancing.

Previously, King was a news director at WHMI-FM 93.5 in Howell, Michigan, where he worked for more than 19 years. He has been in the broadcast business for more than three decades.

King has a bachelor’s degree from Siena Heights University in Michigan and a master’s degree from Cleary University, also in Michigan.
