Metro.co.uk appoints Platt head of social media

Jordan Platt

Metro.co.uk has promoted Jordan Platt to head of social for online and print. In his new role, he will manage the social media team, develop social media strategies and curate social platforms and channels. Previously, he served as assistant head of social.

He formerly worked at News UK as a journalist, production editor and deputy Snapchat editor, and social editor at the LADbible Group.

He also held editorial stints at outlets in London.

Platt has a B.A. in multimedia journalism from London South Bank University.
