Memphis TV station anchor/reporter Richard departs

Brandon Richard

Brandon Richard, anchor/reporter at WMC-TV Ch. 5, an NBC station in Memphis, has left.

Previously, he held the same post at WSIL-TV Ch. 3, the ABC affiliate in Harrisburg, Ill.

In his Twitter announcement, Richard noted: “I’m even grateful to the people (and politicians) who never picked up the phone, answered the door, or returned my emails! It has all made me a stronger and better journalist.”

Richard reported for Meredith Corp. and was a reporter/multimedia journalist at The E.W. Scripps Co. He was also a multimedia journalist at Raycom Media in Lake Charles, La., and has interned at Hearst Television.

Richard has a B.S. from the University of Central Oklahoma.
