WJBK-TV Ch. 2, in Detroit, Mich., which serves as the area’s Fox outlet, has hired Stephanie Mead as an anchor.
Mead wrote:
“I have loved every minute being a Hoosier and will miss my WISHTV family. I’m headed to FOX in Detroit to forecast more snow! My last show will be April 7th! Join me through the week!”
Mead had been working at WISH-TV Ch. 8, a CW affiliate in Indianapolis, Ind., for the past six years.
Previously, she worked at WGBA-TV Ch. 26, an NBC station in Green Bay, Wis. She was also an anchor at KMVT-TV Ch. 11, a CBS and CW Plus affiliate in Twin Falls, Idaho.
She interned at WTVO-TV Ch. 17, an ABC- and MyNetworkTV affiliate in Rockford, Ill.
Mead has a B.S. from Northern Illinois University.
