BBC News has tapped Michael Sheils McNamee to serve as a senior journalist on the UK online desk, based in Belfast. Recently, he was a journalist with the BBC Scotland team, working on the flagship news program ‘The Nine.’
Previously, McNamee pitched and wrote features for BBC Northern Ireland. He was also a news reporter at the daily Belfast Telegraph.
McNamee has degrees from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and Dublin City University.
