Alex McCann
Alex McCann will join the Portland Press Herald as a copy and digital editor. Recently, he was a morning digital news editor at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
McCann joined the Post-Gazette in June 2019 as a multiplatform news editing intern. He joined the staff full time in August 2019 as an associate copy editor and page designer.
He held the posts of culture reporter, copy editor, columnist, copy chief and digital managing editor at Ohio-based The Post. He was a copy and research editor at the Southeast Ohio Magazine.
He interned at the Pittsburgh City Paper.
McCann has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University.
