CBC News Network has hired Ginella Massa as the host of a new primetime show. She will also join CBC’s flagship news program, “The National”, as a special correspondent, while also taking part in many CBC News specials.
Recently, Massa was with CityTV Toronto for more than 4 years, joining as a reporter and then holding the post of anchor/reporter. She has also worked as a video journalist at CTV News Kitchener and at NewsTalk 1010 as a freelance producer and newscaster.
She was also a media trainer at Media Consultant and has also worked at Rogers Television, joining as a camera operator – Daytime Toronto and Toronto Boomers, and then serving as a reporter – Cable 10 Live.
She was also host/producer of The Pulse, and first an assignment editor and then as chase producer at CTV News Channel. She also served as a reporter/videographer at RogersTV and has worked as an associate assignment editor – CTV Toronto at CTV News Toronto. Later on, she was on the Ontario election desk at the company.
Massa has also worked as an assignment desk intern at CTV News.
Massa is a graduate of York University.
